National Geographic Animal Jam is a massively multiplayer online virtual world launched in 2010 by WildWorks in partnership with the National Geographic Society. Animal Jam is a beautifully illustrated educational game that is partnered with National Geographic. In Animal Jam, children can become their favorite animal and explore the world of Jamaa, an exotic world filled with a number of different lands and ecosystems. As they explore, players—known as Jammers – can play fun games, watch educational videos, and meet other children from around the world who share their love for animals.
Animal Jam‘s goal is to provide a fun, exciting, and safe environment for children to play online, while at the same time inspiring them to explore and protect the natural world outside their doors, making science accessible and fun!
In aj you can send other jammers mail saying things like wow i like you character or come to my den to trade and things like that, the mail system is called jamaa grams, you can not send inappropriate language. You can also send people gifts via the mail but that is only for members. The creators of aj (wild works have made 3 android apps such as animal jam play wild, jump and tunnel town. Animal jam play wild and tunnel town i believe are free but i do think jump costs $3.00.
At the time i am writing this in Animal jam you can adopt adorable pets, sadly there are not many for the nonmembers at the time i am writing this there is only the bee and hamster for land animals and seahorse for ocean animals. Now the rest are for the members these are: Phantom, bunny, snake, butterfly, puppy, ducky, frog, kitty, goat, penguin, skunk, peacock, armadillo, pony, gecko, panda, lion, giraffe, eagly, cheetah, owl, fox, monkey, turtle, jellyfish and the anglerfish.
In animal jam you can customise your own den, place your pet in it and throw parties in it. These dens are:Waterpark, sunken ship, small house, fantasy castle, mushroom hut, princess castle, pecks den, sir gilberts palace, spring cottage, volcano, lost ruins, enchanted hollow, castle, treehouse, restaurant, epic haunted manor, pixel place, bounce house, sky kingdom, beach house, sol arcade den and crystal palace.
The only dens nonmembers can buy are the sunken ship and small house.
I think these rules suit such a kid friendly game which is also quite popular.You don't like it when people are mean to you so don't be mean to others. Animal jam does not tolerate any bullying, inappropriate, hateful or bad language. This means your phone number, home address, email address and your username and password. And using a cheat code or any other program other than what animal jam provides could break the game and ruin everyone's fun. If someone makes you feel bad or uncomfortable, you have the right to repot them.Then tell your mum, dad ora trusted grown up. Remember : it is OK to protect yourself.
Animal jam is one of my favourite games and I think that it is vry appropriate and child friendly
